 丹巴古称"章谷",藏语的意思是岩石上的城镇,是大渡河上的第一城,因这里古碉楼林立,又称"千碉之国".这里有5000年前古人类活动遗址,同时也完善地保留了嘉绒藏族的生活习俗.天人合一的甲居山寨、风景画廊牦牛沟、神奇的墨尔多神山和党岭山.由于一方山水的孕育,这里自古就多出美女,故又有"美人谷"之称.
Danba was called Zhanggu in Tibetan
which means town on a rock on a rock.
Danba Country is the frist country that
the Dadyge River flows into.Thousands
of towers were build by the Jarong Tibetan
People in the valleys around the river.Many
of these towers and other ancient ruins
can be seen today.The people living
here still keep to their their traditional
customs and architecture in a unique
way. The pictuersque Maoniugoucalley,the
sacred Moerduo and Dangling Mountain
are other highlights of this scenic
